Doloc Town Tier Lists

Community guides for genes, drones, and Tech Tree priorities—not official rankings from RedSaw Games.

Tier Lists Hub

Doloc Town rewards planning. Between acid rain, vertical farm layouts, ruin expeditions, and a Tech Tree that spans farming, combat, and automation, it is easy to spend gold and Tech Points on upgrades that feel good in the moment but stall your long-term progress. This hub collects community tier lists—player-written rankings that help you decide what to prioritize first, what to skip until mid-game, and what only matters once you are chasing achievements or perfect automation.

These lists are not official. RedSaw Games Studio does not publish balance tiers, and your playstyle may differ. A gene stack that dominates one vertical farm layout may underperform on a greenhouse-heavy build. Treat every ranking here as a starting point, then experiment in your own save.

What you will find here

Crop gene priorities

The gene system lets you attach up to three modules per seed and chase nearly twenty mutations across more than thirty crops. The crop gene tier list ranks weather resistance, yield boosts, growth speed, and special traits in S / A / B / C bands so you know which modules are worth cloning before you burn rare samples. Pair it with the gene combo worksheet when you are planning multi-season stacks.

Drone module builds

Your combat drone is both exploration insurance and ruin clearance. The drone module tier list separates combat barrels, support chips, and utility loadouts for Old City Ruins runs versus everyday drone combat around Doloc Valley. If you are dying to heatwaves or running out of battery mid-fight, start here before buying another weapon console at the hangar.

Priority unlock order

Tech Points from the Guildmaster and bulletin quests unlock crafting stations, automation nodes, and drone blueprints. The priority unlocks guide walks through early, mid, and late purchases so you are not sitting on a gene lab you cannot feed or automation drones with no power grid. Cross-check with tool upgrades and crafting machines when gold is tight.

How to use these rankings

  1. Match the list to your current chapter. Early-game lists assume manual watering and pickaxe combat; late-game lists assume solar arrays and indoor mini hubs.
  2. Read the reasoning, not just the letter. S-tier genes for acid rain differ from S-tier genes for greenhouse winter cash crops.
  3. Cross-link with guides. New players should read Getting Started and the walkthrough before min-maxing genes. Returning players can jump straight to farming and map hubs.
  4. Revisit after patches. The 1.0 launch added automation and Old City Ruins loot tables; Workshop mods can shift metas on PC.
  • Guides hub — story progression, reviews, and beginner routes
  • Farming hub — weather, cooking, genes, and automation deep dives
  • Items hub — materials, crafting outputs, and tool tiers
  • Tools hub — daily checklist, stamina foods, and planning worksheets
  • Updates hub — patch notes and launch features

When a tier list disagrees with your experience, trust your farm data. Doloc Town is a single-player sandbox; the best ranking is the one that keeps your platforms green and your drone coming home before nightfall.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Are these Doloc Town tier lists official?

No. Every list on this hub is a community guide based on Early Access and 1.0 player testing. RedSaw Games does not publish official tier rankings for genes, drones, or Tech Tree nodes.

Which tier list should I read first?

New saves should start with priority unlocks, then crop genes once you reach the gene lab. Pick up drone modules when you begin exploring ruins outside Doloc Valley.

Do tier lists account for vertical farming?

Yes. Crop gene rankings call out weather exposure on upper platforms and greenhouse crops separately, because acid rain and heatwaves hit stacked fields differently than indoor planters.

Will Workshop mods invalidate these rankings?

Mods can change crop stats, drone damage, or crafting costs. Treat tier lists as vanilla 1.0 baselines and adjust if your subscribed mods rebalance systems.

How often are tier lists updated?

We revise rankings after major patches such as 1.0 and when community consensus shifts. Check the updates hub after each Steam patch note.
